Most Indian food is well, intimidating if you’re not familiar with the flavors and what to order. American Gymkhana’s modern approach is sure to liven up your palate and introduce you to some new flavors including brunch. Chef Aarthi has been busy whipping up brunch with offerings ranging from Banjara Chicken & Waffles to the Desi Omelette.Given their reasonable prices, lively atmosphere (DJ included) and approachable dishes, American Gymkhana is sure to become an ever popular brunch spot.
Served Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm, you can drink, dine and (of course) socialize for a mere $25. Nobody wants to spend a fortune on brunch, especially if you dined out the previous evening. Here’s what we recommend ordering for brunch:
- Banjara Chicken & Waffles: The South invented this dish, but American Gymkhana has taken a delightful and tasty spin on a classic. Savory and sweet, this spiced fried chicken is drizzled with a garlic yogurt and paired with buttermilk tadka waffles. Top your waffles with an array of syrups and flavored butters, no maple syrup required for this dish! Order up to please your salty and sweet side.
- Daily Bread Basket: Filled with an array of puffy and savory bread, an excellent side to start or pair with any meal. Besides, how can you brunch without carbs?
- Masala Potato Wedges: Spiced, crispy and served with a spicy sauce. These wedges were crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside – almost like jumbo french fries. Mmm.
- Orange-Mango Mimosa & Lychee Mimosa: I’ve never tasted a drink here I didn’t enjoy and their mimosas did not disappoint. Delivering the perfect balance of savory and sweet, these mimosas are a must order with any dish.
