The “Hot Now” sign at Krispy Kreme evokes all sorts of emotions from my family. Excitement, joy, contemplation (should I really turn my car around) and other things I won’t get into today. For decades we’ve had a love affair with Krispy Kreme. One year we even trucked in dozens of glazed doughnuts from a neighboring town for a school fundraiser because our city was not yet home to this fine doughnut establishment. People went nuts. Some even say we invented the Krispy Kreme fundraising concept, but I digress.
