Some prefer bourbon, others cocktails, but my drink of choice is always wine. And good wine, not that boxed stuff. Although, if that’s your forte, don’t let me stop you. So, when I came across California Wine Club, I knew I’d struck gold.

Unlike The Sunshine State, the West Coast is home to thousands of small family wineries which handcraft extraordinary wine in quantities too limited for local stores or shops. Sorry Barefoot.

The California Wine Club was founded 25 years ago by true wine connoisseurs seeking to share artisan wineries with the world. And to share these rare gems with The City Beautiful, CA Wine Club has some fabulous monthly wine club packages. The best part? No contract, yearly, monthly commitment here – just the chance to experience some unique wines in Florida from wine country. With packages starting at $40, there’s something for every budget and taste.

Each wine is hand-selected from a real-working winery and if you’re not happy, you’re not stuck. As part of The California Wine Club’s superior customer service, you will have access to Personal Wine Consultants that will help serve as your guide to discovering fabulous wine. So if wine is foreign to you, CA Wine Club has got you covered.

Sure there’s a myriad of monthly wine subscriptions on the web, but why trust the newbies? For nearly two decades California Wine Club been delivering monthly wine  to thousands of wine club members across the country.

So, what landed on our doorstep recently? A delightful red and white from Cambridge Cellars founded and run by a husband and wife duo. Here’s what we’ve been tasting and enjoying this week!

“Limited” by Cambridge Cellars 2013 Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Aromas: Peppercorn, dried herbs, blackberry and plum
  • Pair With: Beef with roasted potatoes, carrots and thyme

“Limited” by Cambridge Cellars 2013 Monterey Chardonnay

  • Aromas: Apricot, pineapples and flavors of peach and toast spice
  • Pair With: Garlic sautéed clams or bacon wrapped grilled prawns

California Wine Club has a taste for everyone, and really, how can you refuse wine that’s delivered to your door? While Florida has a lot to offer, we certainly can’t measure up in the wine category. So cheers to California, small wineries and The California Wine club, thanks for sending some goodness our way. Now, go get yourself some small-production boutique wine!
